Equitas Academy provides a structured, achievement-based community that prepares K-5 students to graduate from college-preparatory middle, high schools, four-year colleges and universities. Equitas Academy believes students must have access to an achievement-oriented learning environment, beginning in kindergarten and extending to the doors of high school to ensure all students make a smooth transition to the demands of college preparatory high schools with the ultimate goal of college graduation. We envision a school with a college preparatory focus in the primary grades, so students are able to develop the foundational skills necessary for entrance into high-performing secondary schools.

IHSCA’s mission is to prepare students for success in competitive colleges and universities while simultaneously providing job readiness certifications in entry-level positions with higher wages at the healthcare sector. We envision our school as an intergenerational community education center with full integration and participation of faculty, students, staff, parents and partners in decisions that shape the school’s existence. IHSCA serves 600 youth, grades 9 to 12 from Chicago communities, and continues to pave the way for the next generation doctors, nurses, informatics professionals and bio-technicians.
